Certifications
AGMET has been granted a unique Variance by the Ohio EPA for its classification as a waste recycler that is able to recycle plating by-products that would have otherwise ended up in hazardous waste landfills. In addition, we have received a variety of certifications for our work in the waste management field:
AGMET seeks Internationally Recognized EMS Standard: ISO-14001:2004
As part of our ongoing efforts to achieve ISO-14001:2004, AGMET Environmental Health and Safety has implemented an Environmental Management System (EMS) Policy to increase efficiency and reduce environmental impacts. The policy calls for systematic integration of environmental management into all operations, and requires processes to be continually evaluated to ensure adherence to our mission of environmental stewarship as part of our Recycle 100® philosophy.
National Safety Council
AGMET is proud to be a Member of the National Safety Council (NSC) and the Northern Ohio Chapter since 11/1/1990. The NSC saves lives by preventing injuries and deaths at work, in homes and communities and on the roads through leadership, research, education and advocacy.
Greater Cleveland Safety Council
AGMET is proud to be recognized by Greater Cleveland Safety Council Charter Member of American Association of Safety Councils. AGMET supports the importance of a safe and healthy environment and strives to eliminate accidents and injuries.
Environmental Protection Agency Hazardous Waste Generator Certification
AGMET personnel have successfully completed the Environmental Protection Agency Hazardous Waste Generator training in an effort to comply with the annual training requirement of the Environmental Protection Agency in 40 CFR 262.34(a)(4), including 265.16.
Department of Transportation Hazardous Materials Handler Certification
AGMET personnel have successfully completed the Department of Transportation Hazardous Materials training in an effort to comply with the triennial training requirement of the Department of Transportation in 49 CFR 172.704 in the four required areas: General Awareness, Function-Specific, Safety and Security Awareness.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration First Responder Awareness Level/Hazmat Team Certification
AGMET personnel have successfully completed the Occupational Safety and Health Administration First Responder Awareness Level/Hazmat Team training in an effort to comply with the annual training requirement of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration in 29 CFR 1910.120(q)(6)(i).
EMS Internal Auditor Training Certification
Selected AGMET personnel have successfully completed coursework on EMS Internal Auditor Training, based on ISO 14001:2004. With this certificate are also granted 1.44CEUs. The course establishes the complete internal auditing process, the roles and responsibilities of EMS auditors and the audit team leader, how to collect and analyze objective evidence, and how to evaluate the adequacy, effectiveness and conformance of an Environmental Management System (EMS).
Occupational Safety and Health Administration 8 Hour HAZWOPER Supervisor Certification
AGMET personnel have successfully completed the Occupational Safety and Health Administration 8 Hour HAZWOPER Supervisor training in an effort to comply with the annual training requirement of the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration in 29 CFR 1910.120.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration 30 Hour General Industry Certification
AGMET personnel have successfully completed the Occupational Safety and Health Administration 30 Hour General Industry training in an effort to comply with the annual training requirement of the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration in 29 CFR 1910.120.
Bureau of Underground Storage Tank Regulations Class "A" and "B" Operator Certification
AGMET personnel is proud to be recognized by the Bureau of Underground Storage Tank Regulations as having successfully completed Underground Storage Tanks Class "A' and "B" Operator Training.
Lift Truck Operator Safety #5600 Certification
AGMET personnel have successfully completed the Lift Truck Operator Safety #5600 training in an effort to comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards.
Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation Accident Analysis Certification
